What should I wear or bring to a Soundbath?

Participants should bring a yoga mat and pillow for comfort. Blankets are optional. Disposable eye masks are provided if desired.

What happens when I arrive?

You'll be asked to remove your jacket and shoes and silence your cellphone. I highly recommend you use the restroom before we begin.

Is Soundbath therapy suitable for everyone?

While sound therapy is generally safe and well-tolerated by many individuals, it may not be suitable for everyone in certain circumstances. Individuals who have epilepsy, a history of seizures, or those with certain medical conditions such as severe tinnitus or severe sound sensitivity should consult with a healthcare professional before participating in a sound bath session.

How long are group sessions?

Group sessions are between 60 to 75 minutes.

What happens during a Soundbath?

You'll begin by lying down, fully clothed and ready to embark on a journey of relaxation. I will guide you through a brief breath work meditation, helping to cultivate coherence between your brain and heart. Utilizing various instruments, we'll gently activate your parasympathetic nervous system, facilitating your body's natural repair processes. As you listen, you'll enter a Zen-like state of deep relaxation. Here, the practitioner will weave a tapestry of ancient and cultural sounds...each frequency resonating with your body's innate rhythms. Surrendering to these frequencies, you'll find yourself transcending ordinary consciousness, experiencing sensations like "being there but not really being there" or "losing track of time." Time passes swiftly as your body undergoes its healing journey, leaving you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and often liberated from physical and psychological discomfort.

Can I combine Reiki and a Soundbath?

Combining sound therapy and reiki in a single session allows for a deeply holistic and multidimensional healing experience, addressing both the physical and energetic aspects of the recipient's well-being. Each modality enhances the effects of the other, creating a synergistic effect that promotes relaxation, stress reduction, and overall balance and harmony.

Can Reiki and Soundbaths help with specific health concerns?

Sound healing and reiki therapy offer potential benefits for a range of health conditions and concerns. From stress reduction and anxiety relief to pain management and emotional healing, these modalities can promote relaxation, balance energy flow, and support overall well-being. Additionally, they may aid in improving sleep quality, boosting the immune system, and facilitating spiritual growth. While not a replacement for medical treatment, sound healing and reiki therapy can complement traditional healthcare approaches. It's essential for individuals with specific health issues to consult with a healthcare provider to determine the most suitable treatment plan. Moreover, individuals may experience varying levels of effectiveness and may require multiple sessions to achieve desired results.

How often should I schedule Soundbath sessions for optimal benefits?

The frequency of sound healing sessions depends on individual preferences, needs, and circumstances. It's essential to listen to your body and observe how you feel after each session. If you experience significant benefits, you might consider scheduling sessions more frequently, but if you feel overwhelmed, it may be necessary to space them out until your body is acclimated to the frequencies. Consistency is key for optimal results, so attending sessions regularly rather than sporadically is often recommended. However, the ideal frequency varies from person to person, so it's essential to consider your specific health goals and concerns. Additionally, allow time between sessions for integration and reflection, and consult with me for personalized recommendations. Ultimately, trust your intuition and adjust the frequency of sessions based on your individual needs and circumstances.

Are Reiki / Chakra Healing / Sound Healing a religion?

Reiki, Chakra Cleansing, and Sound Healing are not religions themselves; rather, they are holistic healing modalities that can be practiced within various spiritual or religious frameworks or independently of any specific religious belief system as secular modalities focused on promoting health and well-being.

Does Reiki have any side effects?

Typically, individuals feel relaxed and rejuvenated following a reiki treatment. However, occasionally, they may experience what's known as a healing crisis. As the body's vibrational frequency increases during the session, stored toxins may be released into the bloodstream for filtration by the liver and kidneys, resulting in symptoms like headaches, stomach aches, or weakness. In such cases, it's advisable to drink plenty of water, opt for lighter meals, and prioritize rest. This cleansing process signifies the body's healing journey, reflecting positive progress towards overall well-being.

Is Reiki covered through insurance?

Reiki is gradually gaining recognition from insurance providers, although coverage for reiki treatments remains limited. Some insurance companies do offer coverage for Reiki, but this varies depending on the provider and the specific policy. It's advisable to inquire directly with your local insurance company to obtain detailed information about coverage options and any associated requirements or limitations.
